David's twisted mind

My 1st teaching practice ended a week before term ended and after 4 training days my Christmas holiday started. As normal it took me 3 days to wind down and start to feel relaxed. Also as normal I had a wonderful time at home with my wife and children. We visited our relatives yesterday and today I sat down and finished two of my college assignments (due Jan 6th) so I'm feeling even more relaxed now. One comment I kept hearing from friends and family is how different I am since I've made a career change. They say it's as if a light has been turned on inside me - I'm energetic, enthusiastic, and smiling a lot more these days. On reflection I think I'd agree with them. Despite getting progressively more tired as the term progressed (normal for teachers I'm assured) I'm the happiest and most optimistic I've been for years.
