David's twisted mind

Boys love bonfires no doubt about it. I took them to the allotment and we decided to get rid of all the old bits of wood that the previous people had left laying about so on Friday they got their first lesson in fire building and safey. Okay, I admit it - I like bonfires too. Still no rain for days so on Saturday I had to water the beans and peas I planted in the allotment. This time I decided to go there by bicycle and it wasn't until a day later that I noticed the aching in the back of my legs from cycling up a steep hill. We had another trip out to http://www.naturesworld.org.uk/ and got lots of inspiration for both the allotment and the garden. On Saturday night I realised that it looks as though my laptop has a fault and won't recharge the batteries. I'm going to check it out to see if anything can be done. If not I might replace it as it's so old that it's not worth spending any money one. 4 hours sleep and I feel fine. On Sunday I repainted a radiator and doorframe and then we went to a large garden centre to buy fertilizer. It was another excuse for me to go into their very nice cafe and drink real coffee. The kids had Irn Bru and the artificial colouring/flavouring and sugar sent them hyper. I decided to harness this excess energy and took them to the allotment where they happily ran back and forth filling watering cans and raking the unplanted seed beds. I planted about 100 onion sets. We watched "Vanilla Sky" late on Sunday night. I enjoyed the film, particularly because they keep you guessing right to the end. Now I want to see the original Spanish film it was based on.
